Update: May 17th 2015

Thank you to 15+ volunteers, the aptly named "Arbor Lodge Arbor Army" by neighbor Barb Rock. This group met with City staff and trained arborists Saturday morning, May 16th, and pruned 50+ street trees in Arbor Lodge.  We learned to "look down, look up, look around", stay safe, and helped these street trees get and stay healthy.  We pruned away root suckers, pruned out crossing branches and dead limbs.   Come join the group next time, and learn from the arborist, most of whom live in either Arbor Lodge or Kenton.  Check out the picture of the group learning about root sucker pruning.

Supplies, training and cheer-leading provided! Meet more neighbors, learn about your neighborhood, and make it a safe and clean place to live.

Spring Work Party at Arbor Lodge Park/Harper's Playground

When?  Saturday, May 9th, 9-12Where? meet at west Baseball Diamond for tools and to pair up with someone on tasksWhy?    To keep Harper's Playground and Arbor Lodge Park Pesticide Free.

The City of Portland and Parks & Rec allow us to maintain this spray free status as long as we have enough volunteers to weed the 2 areas (Park/Playground).

It is easy work, come meet a neighbor, help us stay pesticide free, and help make Arbor Lodge Park and Harper's Playground shine for Mother's Day.

Thanks!

** Please wear closed toed shoes; and bring your water bottle and gloves if you have them.  We'll have snacks, more water and some gloves.
