Arbor Lodge Shelter

The Arbor Lodge Shelter on 1952 N. Lombard St was converted into a long-term, purpose-built 24/7 shelter in 2024. The site includes 106 total beds, with 88 congregate beds and 18 tiny home village shelters. The new design includes better fencing, interior design improvements and community-led artwork created by local artists.

The shelter operator, Do Good Multnomah, offers health and housing services, including: laundry, storage, restrooms, a kitchen, offices, parking, and indoor/outdoor common spaces.

Good Neighbor Agreement

The Good Neighbor Agreement is a shared commitment between the Arbor Lodge Shelter and community partners to keep the shelter safe, well-run, and respectful of the neighborhood, while building positive relationships between shelter guests, neighbors, and local residents. It was created together by Multnomah County’s Homeless Services Department, the Arbor Lodge and Kenton neighborhood associations, and Do Good Multnomah (the shelter operator).

The Arbor Lodge Shelter Community Advisory Committee (CAC) was formed as part of the Good Neighbor Agreement and serves as a collaborative, problem-solving body that maintains strong lines of communication between the Homeless Services Department, Do Good Multnomah(the shelter operator), and the community through the Arbor Lodge Neighborhood Association and Kenton neighbors while ensuring agreement commitments are upheld and fostering transparency. The CAC identifies opportunities for greater collaboration and develops solutions to recurring problems that benefit the shelter, its participants, and the broader community.
