North Portland Chairs Meeting update & Additional Notes:
- There was not a North Portland chairs meeting this month, instead we had a meeting with NPNS partners on June 5th. Nonprofits and neighborhood associations got together to talk about priorities for the year, and barriers we are facing. We will debrief this meeting at our June meeting.
- There is a permit for the Red Barn (located at 7421-7427 N DENVER AVE) to come down – 2023-017132-000-00-CO
- The City has released Draft district plans- The Independent District Commission has released its Draft District Plan with three draft map options for community input. News Articles linked below:
- The North Portland Tool Library is open and they are hosting events and looking for volunteers – https://nptl.myturn.com/library/
- Arbor Lodge is partnering with Overlook and Kenton NA’s to host a neighborhood community waste collection event at Arbor Lodge Park on Sept 30th, 2023.
- Arbor Lodge Tree Team will be hosting a Sparrow Hawk Native Plant sale on October 19th, 20th, 21st.
- ALNA will not be meeting in the month of July! Enjoy your summer and we will see you all back in August!
