It is Fruit Tree and Blueberry Bush giveaway time.  Yum, yum.

The 3rd annual Brian Duncan Memorial Fruit Tree Giveaway is here!  Every year we give away fruit trees and blueberry bushes to remember and honor Brian Duncan, friend and past Arbor Lodge Chair who died as a result of his bicycle accident injuries.  He loved fruit trees and friends and community, so let's honor him and plant fruit trees and blueberry bushes in Arbor Lodge.

To reserve your fruit tree or blueberry bush, go to arborlodgetrees.orgYou'll see the list of fruit trees and blueberry bushes.  Read about the, and watch the video too.We aim to give away 70 trees and 40 blueberry bushes this year.

Date of Giveaway:   Saturday March 7th,  11-2Where:                      SE corner of Arbor Lodge Park - in the gravel area, corner of Delaware and                                                                                                                                        Dekum.Reserve now to get the fruit tree or blueberry bush you want.  Do read up in the notes, one of the new trees this year is a pineapple guava - you need 2 to pollinate.  Don't have room for 2 in your yard?  Ask a neighbor to take one and plant it near your property line.   We also have Improved Meyer Lemons, Columnar Apples, and a Top Hat Blueberry bush - all are great for large containers to move with you if you are renting,  or to put on your balcony or patio in an apartment or condo.  We will offer planting info and advice from experts.

You'll be invited to celebrate April 9th from 5:30 to 7:30.  We'll invite everyone from all 3 years who has planted a fruit tree or blueberry bush to come.  We can learn from each other, and meet a neighbor.  All are welcome at the Lucky Lab on Killingsworth for this party.

Reserve your tree or bush now, they do go fast!
