Lombard Multimodal Safety Project
The Lombard Multimodal Safety Project has begun. Construction activities are expected now through the summer.
Please go to this link for more information about the project, along with a brief description below:
This project will improve safety and travel-time predictability for people walking, biking, rolling, taking transit, driving and moving freight along North Lombard Street between North Fiske Avenue and North Boston Avenue. This will be accomplished by reducing travel lanes to one lane in each direction and adding a center turn lane, buffered bike lanes, pedestrian-activated crossings, updated traffic signals, curb ramps that meet Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements, and wider vehicle lanes for this designated freight route. North Lombard will also be repaved in summer 2022.

We are looking for 2 people to fill At Large Board positions. We are also looking for people to join the Parks Committee. And we always appreciate more people on all our committees including Land Use, Clean Air, Trees, Transportation, and Outreach / Communication.
