Opportunities to learn about Fruits of Diversity Community Orchard

Portland Fruit Tree Project and Village Gardens would like to invite you to a community planning and info session for Fruits of Diversity Community Orchard. We are about to start up our tree care season for 2015 and wanted to get the word out. This is a chance to learn about the orchard, meet other folks who are interested, or voice any feedback you may have about Fruits of Diversity. Both past and new volunteers are welcome to attend.

The session will take place on Wednesday, February 11 from 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM at 4610 N Trenton St, Rm 106 (just a couple of blocks down the street from the orchard and next to the Village Gardens office). Light refreshments will be served. Please RSVP by emailing Gareth at gareth@portlandfruit.org or by calling 503-284-6106.

If you can't make it, we'd love to see you at the first work party of the year, on Saturday, February 21st and 10:00 AM, where local landscaper Max Floyd will be leading the group in Winter Pruning. More information about the work party can be found at www.portlandfruit.org

Fa-la-la Along with Us!

Help us spread some holiday cheer this winter! We are getting neighbors together for a caroling event on the evening of Thursday, Dec. 18th in lieu of our meeting.

We will start at 6:30 at 6730 N Wilbur Ave and head east - just listen for the singing and leave your lights on if you'd like to have some carolers! Bring a flashlight and a singing voice. Neighbors will invite us in to their homes for refreshments along the way and people are invited to bring some cookies or snacks to share.

We look forward to seeing you there, and please feel free to bring a friend!
