Fill your gardens - neighborhood plant sales and swaps

Join us in filling your garden with locally grown goodies from the neighborhood this weekend!

TODAY- Ginger and Bob are raising funds for pesticide free Arbor Lodge Park at the Sustainable Overlook Edible Plant Sale selling mason bee homes 10am-4pm, 2103 N Killingsworth.

TOMORROW - Peggy's Plant exchange will be going strong from 11am-2pm at 7045 N Concord on Sunday. No need to bring a plant to be able to take one home. Stay and visit, check out interesting plants and people. The longer you visit the better chance you have of getting a plant you like!

ALL WEEKEND - Chief Joseph Ockley Green PTA has extended their plant sale through to the 20th, so order plants at http:/cjogpta.org/plantsale

ONGOING - Our friends at the Saratoga Community Garden are offering garden beds for planting and tending - email nicoleleggett32@gmail.com to reserve a spot!

Earth Day Cleanup in Arbor Lodge - Seeking Volunteers

Show us your braun (or friendly greeting, sweeping or sorting skills) - we need a few more volunteers at our cleanup this year.

When: Saturday, April 25, noon-3pmWhere: N Farragut at N DelawareWho: You! (and a friend!)

For the past few years, volunteers from Kenton and Arbor Lodge Neighborhoods helped recycle, reuse and get rid of materials from fellow neighbors. The $10 raised from each car load of junk we collected funded neighborhood projects such as trash cans along N. Denver in Kenton, and ALNA's movie night in Arbor Lodge Park.

Contact our cleanup coordinator extraordinaire Lauren, if you can help, by emailing vtylep@gmail.com.
