Saratoga/Bryant Bridge Clean Up

Do you bike or walk this I 5 bike/pedestrian overpass? 

On April 15th two Arbor Lodge volunteers joined seven Piedmont volunteers to clean up graffiti, pull weeds, clip back ivy, and spread bark mulch.  Check out our photos below.  Join us this fall to plant native shrubs on the west approach to this bridge.  Watch Arbor Lodge nextdoor, this website, and AL facebook for planting dates.  Thanks for considering helping keep Arbor Lodge safe, clean, and green.

6:35 – 7:15 MURP student Michael Serritella & others Present and Workshop on Willamette Blvd. Transportation Project

PACE Planning is a team of five Master of Urban and Regional Planning students at Portland State University completing a capstone planning project for the WCMC (Willamette Corridor Mobility Committee). The project objective is to develop a community-driven active transportation plan that improves safety and accessibility along the N Willamette Blvd corridor, which WCMC can present to PBOT for implementation. The team will maintain contact with PBOT in order to ensure that the plan and outreach process are compatible with PBOT standards. The outreach process aims to gather input from stakeholders, community representatives, and residents who may use the corridor, with some engagement activities targeted towards groups who are less often involved in the planning process (youth, people of color, low income).

Sunday, April 15, 2018from 9am-12pmat the east side foot of the N. Bryant St. Bridge/Interstate 5

Our neighborhood association has worked with ODOT and PBOT to create a pleasing, aesthetic experience through a formerly ‘un-loved’ and neglected bit of urban infrastructure.

We’ll be picking up litter, spreading mulch, landscape planting, graffiti clean-up, etc. Please bring your gloves, shovels, clippers, etc.Coffee and donuts provided.

All volunteers are welcome.

Especially, if you use this passage to safely travel across I-5, please consider by helping to contribute to the upkeep of our community asset.

I live in Arbor Lodge and I'm going - hope you are too!

Land Use Meeting April 18th

The Arbor Lodge Neighborhood Association Land Use Committee will be hosting a meeting with Wilson Architects to discuss the planned redevelopment of the adjoining lots located on 6541 N Denver and 2005 Rosa Parks. Project Status:

  • 2005 Rosa Parks, located on the NW corner of Rosa Parks & N Denver, has zoning designation of “CG” a commercial designation which allows a full range of retail and service businesses.

  •  6541 N Denver is zoned “R5” , residential.

  • The development team are proposing a 4 story apartment building on the CG portion of the site, and 2 new single family homes on the R5 lot. Surface parking will be included on the R5 (single family) lot.

  • Inclusionary (affordable) housing requirements apply

  • No retail is planned
