Arbor Lodge Park

It's spring cleaning time at the park! We will be kicking-off the season starting tomorrow, March 10th, by doing some light weeding, spreading of bark mulch, and having fun with our neighbors. Snacks will be provided and North Star Coffee Shop is giving us hot coffee to keep us going.

Neighbors, Bob and Ginger, will have the toolbox open from 9:00 AM to noon, so please stop by anytime between then to pitch in and help keep our park beautiful and pestiside free. Thank you!

Want to help a neighbor?

Each week 19 children at Chief Joseph Elementary School take home a backpack filled with donated food. During the week these children qualify for free or reduced fee breakfast and lunch at school, and the food backpacks help them get through the weekend at home. Most of the food is dried/canned staples donated by the NE Ecumenical Food Pantry. The backpacks are lacking fresh fruit. In addition to food, these families are also in need of some basic necessities like toilet paper and disposable diapers.

If you can buy extras while you're shopping and drop them off at the front office of Chief Joseph (Saratoga and Delaware), you'll walk out with a smile and someone in your neighborhood will greatly benefit from your generosity. Backpacks are filled on Wednesdays and go out on Thursdays each week. Donations are accepted any weekday. Thank you!
